The plant-lovin’ soul behind Maryland Tropical Plants, a small licensed nursery rooted right here on the Eastern Shore.

 

Plants have always been my grounding force—my peace, my pause, my therapy. Tropical plants? That’s a whole other frequency. Lush leaves, wild shapes, living art straight from nature’s playlist. Born and raised in Maryland, I’ve always been drawn to the magic outside—the cotton-candy skies at sunset, the way the wind moves through the trees, the fire of new growth, the calm that only nature knows how to bring. Plants remind me to slow down, breathe deep, and stay rooted while reaching for the light.

 

What started as a passion grew into a business as I gear toward retirement, and now I get to share that joy with my Eastern Shore community. From beginner-friendly greens to rare imported stunners, there’s something here for every kind of plant soul. And honestly the best part? Meeting fellow plant lovers—my kind of people—swapping stories, plant tips, and good energy. This little nursery is about connection as much as it is about plants.
